Jakarta: The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has predicted that the beginning of the rainy season will occur in the first week to the third week of November 2019.
The agency has advised the public to prepare for or anticipate the rainy season.
"To prepare and anticipate for inundation or flooding in the coming rainy season," BMKG Deputy for Meteorology, Mulyono R. Prabowo said here on Monday, October 28, 2019.
Prabowo conveyed that the community needs to clean up rivers, and drainage from garbage and goods that can clog the water flow. Last night, it started raining in several areas in Greater Jakarta.
However, a week ago, BMKG announced that hot temperatures hit Indonesia due to the position of the sun. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in (Makassar) with 38.8 degrees Celsius.
