Govt May Also Add Covid-19 Isolation Sites Outside Jakarta: Health Minister

Jakarta: Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto has said that the government may also establish coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) isolation sites outside Jakarta Special Capital Region.
 
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) previously announced that the authroities and hotel groups will establish 15 covid-19 isolation sites in Indonesia's capital. He explained the 15 isolation sites can accommodate as many as 3,000 asymptomatic covid-19 patients.
 
"The hotel groups are also willing to turn hotels outside Jakarta into isolation sites," the Minister of Health said here on Monday.

The hotel groups are Accor, Novotel, Ibis, Tausiyah, and Harris, among others.
 
On Sunday, The Indonesian Ministry of Health announced 3,636 new coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases across Indonesia to 218,382.
 
From Saturday noon to Sunday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries was up by 2,552 to 155,010. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths was up by 73 to 8,723.
