Jakarta: The Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian today said that the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital at the Kemayoran Athletes Village in Central Jakarta currently accommodates 4,687 patients.
According to the military official, as many as 2,515 patients are receiving inpatient care at towers 6 and 7, while the other 2,272 patients are undergoing self isolation at towers 4 and 5.
"Towers 6 and 7 has accommodated a total of 18,475 patients since March," the spokesperson said.
Officially opened in Marcg, towers 6 and 7 at the Kemayoran Athletes Village are used to treat covid-19 patients with mild to moderate cases, while towers 4 and 5 at the building complex are used to house asymptomatic covid-19 patients.
According to the Jakarta provincial government, on Monday, the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia's capital was up by 807 to 72,117.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries in the special capital region rose by 1,328 to 57,741.
"The total number of confirmed deaths increased by 12 to 1,704," the Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Control and Prevention Division Head Dwi Oktavia said.
