Jakarta: The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force today announced that there are 280 regencies and cities in Indonesia which currently have 50 active covid-19 cases or less.
"166 regencies and cities in Indonesia currently have between 11-50 active covid-19 cases," said the Task Force's Data and Information Technology Division Head Dewi Nur Aisyah in a virtual press conference here on Wednesday.
"Meanwhile, 114 regenices and cities currently only have 10 active cases or less," she added.
On Tueday, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 3,906 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 340,622.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, in the past 24 hours, the total number of recovered covid-10 patients across Indonesia was up by 4,777 to 263,296.
Meanwhile, in the same period, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country rose by 92 to 12,027.
"All regions should work hard to have less than 100 active covid-19 cases," the official stated.
