Jakarta: The Jakarta Metro Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Yusri Yunus has revealed that around 5,000 joint personnel will secure the planned 1812 rally.
According to the police official, the joint task force will consist of police, military, the Jakarta Municipal Police, the Jakarta Transportation Agency and the Jakarta Fire Deparment.
"We will also deploy our personnel in the Parliament Building Complex, Monas and other locations," said the spokesperson here on Friday.
Organized by the Anti-Communist National Alliance (ANAK NKRI), the 1812 rally will demand authorities to investigate the deaths of six Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) members and free FPI leader Rizieq Shihab.
In addition to that, the protestors will also ask the government to stop criminalization of ulema and imlement rule of law.
