Pertamina Oil Pipeline Catches Fire in West Java's Cimahi

Bandung: An oil pipeline caught fire in Melong, Cimahi, West Java at around 02.00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

"It is Pertamina's oil pipeline near the high-speed railway project's construction site," Cimahi Fire Departement official Indrahadi told Medcom.id by phone.

Indrahadi explained that several fire trucks have been deployed to put out the fire. He also revealed that authorities have closed some part of the Purbaleunyi toll road.

"Purbaleunyi Toll Road KM 130 has been closed," the official stated.

According to reports, the fire was caused by an accident involving heavy equipment. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
