Jakarta: The National Police has arrested as many as 19 suspected terrorists in the aftermath of Wednesday's suicide bomb attack.
On Monday morning, a man named Rabbial Muslim Nasution blew himself up at the Medan Police station in North Sumatra. According to reports, the perpetrator wore an online motorcycle taxi uniform during the attack.
At least six people suffered light injuries because of the attack. Four of them were police officers.
"The arrested suspected terrorists are part of a network," National Police chief General Idham Azis said in Palu, Central Sulawesi on Friday, November 15, 2019.
Idham revealed that the suspected terrorists were caught in North Sumatra, Riau Islands, Banten, Maluku, Central Java and East Java. He added that the police is still investigating the case.
"It is still being studied and investigated," he noted.
