Anies Urges Jakarta's Satellite Areas to Reimpose PSBB

Jakarta: Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan hopes that large-scale social restricions (PSBB) could also be reintroduced in Jakarta's satellite areas.
 
The regions are Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, South Tangerang City, Bogor Regency, Bogor City, Depok City, Bekasi Regency and Bekasi City.
 
"We will hold a meeting at 14.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB). We hope that it is not only implemented in Jakarta," Anies said here on Thursday.

"We will synchronize our policies. We will announce the outcome later," Anies stated.
 
The Jakarta provincial government will reintroduce PSBB measures on September 14. The policy aims to decrease the covid-19 hospitalization rate in Indonesia's capital.
 
The Jakarta provincial government previously implemented PSBB for around two months from April to June. The regional government changed its policy to transitional PSBB in early June.
