Jakarta: The Jakarta provincial government has prepared three isolation centers to house asymptomatic coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) patients.
"The isolations sites are funded by the regional budget or other sources," the Governor's Decree Number 979 Year 2020 reads.
The three isolation centers are Islamic Center in North Jakarta, Graha Wisata Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in East Jakarta and Graha Wisata Ragunan in South Jakarta.
On Monday, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 3,509 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 278,722.
To tackle the spread of covid-19, the Indonesian government is currently focusing on flattening the covid-19 infection curve in several provinces with the highest transmission rates, namely Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, and Papua.
"Jakarta residents are no longer allowed to undergo self isolation at home," Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said here on September 11.
