Jakarta: Jakarta Special Capital Region is still the epicenter of covid-19 crisis in Indonesia as the Jakarta Health Agency registered 1,007 new covid-19 cases on Tuesday.
"The total number of confirmed positive cases is 81,043," said the Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Control and Prevention Division Head Dwi Oktavia in a written statement on Tuesday evening.
"Active cases decreased by 47 to 12,922," she added.
In addition, the Jakarta provincial government also recorded 1,020 new covid-19 recoveries and 34 new covid-19 deaths today.
"The death toll increased by 34 to 1,806," she stated.
On Tuesday afternoon, The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,056 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 311,176.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Monday noon to Tuesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 3,844 to 236,437.
Meanwhile, in the same period, the official covid-19 death toll in the country rose by 121 to 11,374.
