Jakarta: Jakarta registered 1,015 new covid-19 cases on Tuesday. The total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia's capital rose to 48,811.
"The number of active covid-19 cases in Jakarta currently is 11,030. Some of them are being treated, while the others are undergoing quarantine," Jakarta Health Office's Disease Prevention and Control Division head Dwi Okavia said.
As of Tuesday, a total of 36,451 covid-19 patients in Jakarta have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 1,330 people have succumbed to the virus.
"Our testing rate is 66,213 PCR tests per million people. 55,424 people took PCR tests in the past week," the official revealed.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Indonesian Ministry of Health announced 2,046 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases to 200,035.
From Monday noon to Tuesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries increased by 2,306 to 142,958. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 100 to 8,230.
