KAI Ensures Train Feeders Are 100% Ready to Transport Whoosh Passengers

Bandung: PT Kereta Api Indonesia Operational Area (Daop) 2 Bandung ensures the readiness of feeder trains to transport passengers for the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) or Whoosh which inaugurated directly by President Joko Widodo today, Monday 2 October 2023.
 
One of the supporting facilities for Whoosh is the Feeder Train from Padalarang Station to Bandung City.
 
According to the Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung, Mahendro Trang Bawono, the connecting train is now 100 percent ready to carry Whoosh passengers. The feeder train will transport Whoosh passengers from Padalarang Station, West Bandung Regency to Bandung Station, Bandung City.

"So for the feeder itself, we have prepared everything starting from the facilities and infrastructure including facilities for passenger services," said Mahendro at Bandung Station, Monday 2 October 2023.
 
He said that there were five train feeder trains. One of the series, continued Mahendro, will have four carriages with a capacity of 200 seats.
 
"That number has not yet been established. So maybe if one is established it could reach up to 300 passengers," he continued.
 
Feeder train operational times will be adjusted to Whoosh's schedule. Since it started operating on October 1, there have been 7 return trips between Bandung and Padalarang.
 
"There are 7 round trips between Bandung and Padalarang, so there are 14 trips every day," he said.
 
Meanwhile, the estimated travel time using the feeder train from Bandung-Padalarang only takes around 18 minutes, provided it does not stop at Cimahi Station.
 
"It is projected to always stop in Cimahi, because in Cimahi, like at Bandung Station, there are feeder train waiting room facilities. So it actually schedules stops for passengers getting on and off in Cimahi," he said.
 
President Joko Widodo has inaugurate KCJB directly at Halim Station, Jakarta. Jokowi also try Whoosh again from Halim Station and arrive at Bandung Station.
