Jakarta: The Covid-19 Handling Task Force Chairman Doni Monardo has said that the covid-19 situation in Indonesia continues to improve.
According to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) chairman, the covid-19 recovery rate is gradually rising, while the number of active cases are further decreasing.
"In the past month, we recorded a significant improvement," said the Army general here on Tuesday.
As of this month, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients in Indonesia has surpassed 300,000. The country's covid-19 recovery rate has increased to 80.84 percent.
Meanwhhile, the percentage of active covid-19 cases in Indonesia has decreased to 15,74 percent. The global average currently is 23.73 percent.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force announced 3,520 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 396,454.
