Jakarta: A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit Majene Regency in Sulawesi Province at 15.25 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Wednesday.
According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake did not trigger tsunami warnings.
With a depth of 18 kilometers, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 9 kilometers northwest of Majene Regency.
Besides Majene, the earthquake was also felt in Mamuju and Polewali Mandar.
