Payakumbuh: A man has been arrested by the Police Special Detachment 88 Anti-Terror in Payakumbuh, West Sumatra on Wednesday afternoon. The man has been identified with the initials DP.
"Yes, that is right. The operation of Densus 88," West Sumatra Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Satake said here on Thursday, March 12, 2020.
The spokesman said that DP was arrested at Koto Nan ampek area near the Payakumbuh Regional Legislative Council Building. He added that the suspected terrorist allegedly had links with Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) terror group.
"JAD's branch in Pekanbaru," the official stated.
According to him, the suspected terrorist will be transported to Pekanbaru. In Riau Province's Capital, DP will be examined by Densus 88 investigators.
