Jakarta: Indonesia's Covid-19 Handling Task Force on Wednesday confirmed 4,029 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases across the country to 400,483.
Based on data issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients in Indonesia was up by 3,545 to 325,793.
Meanwhile, in the same period, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country increased by 100 to 13,612.
Moreover, the number of covid-19 inpatients in the Athletes Village Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta rose by 13 to 1,292 on Wednesday.
According to the Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) Spokesperson Aris Mudian, 627 males and 665 females are currently receiving inpatient care at towers 6 and 7 of the Kemayoran Athletes Village.
Operated by the central government, towers 6 and 7 are used to provide inpatient care for covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms, while towers 4 and 5 are used as isolation centers for asymptomatic covid-19 patients.
