Jakarta: As many as 4,257 coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) patients are being treated at the Athletes Village Emergency Hospital in Central Jakarta.
According to the Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, 2,283 patients with mild to moderate symptoms are receiving inpatient care at towers 6 and 7, while 1,984 asymptomatic patients are undergoing self-isolation at towers 4 and 5.
According to the spokesman, the number of covid-19 patients at towers 6 and 7 decreased by 25 from 2,308 on Friday.
"Towers 6 and 7 have accommodates a total of 18,994 people since March," the military official said here on Friday.
On Thursday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,174 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 29,182.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 3,540 to 218,487.
Meanwhile, in the same period, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 116 to 10,856.
