Jakarta: Indonesia receives another covid-19 vaccine from China’s Sinovac. 9.2 million in a form of bulk vaccines arrives Monday 30 August 2021.
With this raw material vaccine arrival, Indonesia have more than 217.9 million doses of vaccines, both in bulk and ready made vaccines. This is a 45th stage vaccine arrivals for Indonesia.
"The arrival of this vaccine will be followed by the arrival of the next stage of vaccine. This shows that the government continues to work hard to bring in a covid-19 vaccine to meet national vaccination needs," said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of Indonesia Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, M.A.P., in a ministry statement, Monday, August, 30 2021.
He added that until August 26, 2021, the number of peoples who’s already inoculate with first dose of vaccine is 28.53 percent. While the peoples with second dose of vaccine is around 16.02 percent.
For this reason, continued Muhadjir, acceleration of vaccination achievements must be carried out. A rapid cooperation between institution is needed and the participation of all elements of the nation is also highly expected.
"Therefore, the government invites all parties, including community organizations, religious and community leaders, the private sector, business actors, NGOs, and volunteers to work hand in hand for the success of the national vaccination," said Muhadjir.
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture acknowledged that at this time Indonesia was facing a reality, whether we like it or not, like it or not, has to live together with covid-19 for a period of time. As the virus itself cannot be ascertained when it will end.
“It is necessary to continue to strengthen cooperation from all elements of nation by implementing health protocols and utilizing all capabilities including digital technology.
"This is to accelerate recovery in the health sector, the economy, especially in the productivity sector and to end this pandemic," said Muhadjir.
"Once again, don't be careless, stay on high alert so that this pandemic will continue to be under control," he added.
Muhadjir also emphasized that the government invites the public to participate in succeeding the vaccination program by immediately attend to the vaccination location.
"Don't choose a vaccine, because all vaccines are the same and effective,” said Muhadjir.
