Jakarta: The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has closed access to the population identification number (NIK) of several state officials in the PeduliLindungi application. Including, access to data on the NIK of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"It's not just the President, there are other officials whose NIK has been tidied up. The data on officials is closed," said Health Minister Budi Gunadi at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday, September 3, 2021.
Budi said that before it was closed, the entire community could access the NIK data of state officials. This access is to find out whether someone has been vaccinated or not.
Budi admits that there are still weaknesses in the PeduliLindungi application. The application has not been able to fully protect the public's personal data.
"The system still needs to be improved. Because data entry in Indonesia often goes wrong. Now we will close some sensitive officials, whose personal data is already open, we will close it," said Budi.
Previously, a netizen uploaded a photo showing President Jokowi's covid-19 vaccination certificate on Twitter. The vaccination certificate can be seen publicly through PeduliLindungi.
From his upload, Jokowi's full identity is clearly displayed, from name, date of birth, also NIK. Two-dimensional barcodes or quick response codes (QR codes) are also displayed without being censored by the uploader.
In addition, there is information that Jokowi has undergone a second dose of covid-19 vaccination on January 27, 2021.
