Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) kicked off a working visit to South Kalimantan Province on Thursday.
President Jokowi is scheduled to inaugurate a number of infrastructure projects and review mass covid-19 vaccination events.
President Jokowi left Jakarta using the Presidential Aircraft Indonesia-1 on Thursday morning.
The limited group took off at around 07.30 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta.
Arriving at the Syamsudin Noor Air Force Base, Banjarbaru City, President Jokowi continued his journey to Tanah Bumbu Regency, using the Indonesian Air Force Super Puma helicopter to inaugurate a biodiesel factory.
PT Jhonlin Group built the biodiesel plant with a total cost of around IDR 2 trillion. The factory has been built since July 2021.
This factory will produce biodiesel and cooking oil with a production capacity of 60 tons per hour. About 30 percent of the needed raw materials will be obtained from local farmers, while the rest is supplied from outside the region.
Next, the President will go to the City of Banjarmasin to review covid vaccinations at Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh Hospital. Jokowi will also greet vaccination participants in several districts and cities throughout the province of South Kalimantan via video conference.
Before returning to Jakarta, Jokowi will review and inaugurate Sei Alalak Bridge in Banjarmasin City.
