Jakarta: The Jakarta Metro Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Yusri Yunus as many as 6,800 joint personnel are deployed monitor the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta Special Capital Region.
According to the Jakarta Metro Police official, they consist of police officers, military personnel, provincial government officers, court officers and Attorney General's Office (AGO) officers.
"There are at least 6,800 joint personnel," the Jakarta Metro Police official said here on Tuesday.
The Jakarta provincial government officially began the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) on Monday. The policy aims to lower the covid-19 hospitalization rate in the capital of Indonesia.
Jakarta Special Capiral Region previously implemented PSBB measures for around two months from April until June. The city then changed its policy into Transitional PSBB in early June.
According to Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, the PSBB measures will be implemented for two weeks. However, it could be extended if necessary.
