Religious Affairs Minister Recovers from Covid-19

Jakarta: Religious Affairs Minister Fachrul Razi has recovered from covid-19 and has been discharged from hospital, according to Religious Affairs Minister's Special Staff Kevin Haikal.
 
"Thank God, the minister fully recovered from covid-19 on Wednesday. He was then allowed to go home," the spokesperson told Media Indonesia here on Thursday.
 
"The minister is in good condition. He is very grateful for his recovery," the spokesman added.

Nevertheless, the minister must still undergo self-quarantine at his home. The retired Army general was taken to Bunda Hospital in Central Jakarta on September 10. He tested positive for coronavirus on September 17.
 
On Thursday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,174 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 29,182.
 
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 3,540 to 218,487.
 
Meanwhile, in the same period, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 116 to 10,856.
