Floods Inundate Regions in Java, Aceh

Kudus: The Government of Kudus Regency in Central Java Province plans to evacuate affected residents as flooding continues to inundate more areas in the region.
 
According to Kudus Acting Regent Hartopo, to tackle the spread of coronavirus, the evacuation shelters should comply with health protocols.
 
"Flooding is likely to reach residential areas," said the acting regent here on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Sampang Regency in East Java Province is currently also being hit by severe flooding. According to reports, the flooding has inundated at least six urban villages and five villages. Moreover, the affected residents currently do not have access to clean water.
 
"This is an emergency situation," said Sampang Regent Anang Djoenadi.
 
Besides Java, floods also hit several areas in Sumatra region. At least 300 houses were damaged after flooding hit Pidie Regency in Aceh Province. Flooding occurred in three areas in Pidie.
