Jakarta: As many as 1,945 asymptomatic covid-19 patients are currently undergoing self-quarantine at the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital, according to Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) spokesperson Marine Colonel Aries Mudian.
"There are 1,035 males and 910 females," the spokesman said here on Wednesday.
The Kemayoran Athletes Village has accommodated a total of 4,152 asymptomatic covid-19 patients this month. The number of asymptomatic covid-19 patients at the covid-19 Emergency Hospital decreased by 327 from 2,272 today.
Towers 4 and 5 at the Kemayoran Athletes Villages were opened to house asymptomatic covid-19 patients earlier this month. Meanwhile, towers 6 and 7 at the building complex were opened to treat covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms in the beginning of the pandemic.
On Wednesday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,284 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 287,008.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 4,510 to 214,947.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 139 to 10,740.
