Jakarta: The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force today confirmed 4,284 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 287,008.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 4,510 to 214,947.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 139 to 10,740.
On Tuesday, Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Wiku Adisasmito revealed that as many as 399 out of 514 regencies/cities across the country or accounting for 77.6 percent reported 50-100 percent recovery rate.
"This is good news. We need to maintain and increase recovery rate until it can reach 100 percent. If the case is handled well and early, the possibility for 100 percent recovery is very high," Wiku said.
Wiku also pointed out that 19.3 percent of the total regencies/cities in the country reported less than 50 percent recovery rate.
