Jakarta: The number of covid-19 patients at the Athletes Village Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta currently stands at 3,161, according to the Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) Spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian.
According to the spokesman, as many as 1,597 covid-19 patients are receiving inpatient care at towers 6 and 7, while the remaining 1,564 covid-19 patients undergoing self-isolation at towers 4 and 5.
Operated by the central government, towers 6 and 7 are used to treat covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms, while towers 4 and 5 are used to house asymptomatic covid-19 patients.
"Since March, towers 6 and 7 have accommodated a total of 20,008 people," the military official said here on Wednesday.
On Tuesday afternoon, The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,056 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 311,176.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Monday noon to Tuesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 3,844 to 236,437.
Meanwhile, in the same period, the official covid-19 death toll in the country rose by 121 to 11,374.
