Magnitude 6.6 Quake Shakes Bali

Jakarta: A 6.6 magnitude earthquake shook Bali and its nearby areas at 00.45 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
 
According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake did not trigger tsunami warnings.
 
With a depth of 10 kilometers, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 237 kilometers southwest of South Kuta, Bali Province.

There were no reports of damage or casualties due to the earthquake. The public were advised to remain calm. They were also warned to be on alert for aftershocks.
