Jakarta: The Covid-19 Emergency Hospital at the Kemayoran Athletes Village in Central Jakarta currently is treating 1,641 covid-19 patients. They consist of 835 males and 806 females.
"All of them are confirmed covid-19 patients," the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I spokesperson Marine Colonol Aris Mudian said here on Tuesday.
According to Aris, the number of patients at the emergency hospital decreased by 10 today. Since March, the hopital has accommodated as many as 15,096 patients.
The Jakarta provincial government officially launched the reintroduction of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) on Monday. The policy aims to lower the covid-19 hospitalization rate in the capital of Indonesia.
On Monday, the National Covid-19 Task Force announced 3,141 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 221,523.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries increased by 3,141 to 221,523 from Sunday noon to Monday noon. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 118 to 8,841 in the past 24 hours.
