1,146 Covid-19 Clusters Detected in Indonesia: Ministry

Jakarta: The Indonesian Ministry of Health today revealed that the central government has detected a total of 1,146 covid-19 clusters.
 
According to Special Staff of Indonesian Minister of Health Mariya Mubarika, Central Java has the highest number of new covid-19 clusters.
 
"There are eight new covid-19 clusters in Central Java," said the Indonesian Ministry of Health official in a written statement here on Friday.

The eight clusters are an Islamic boarding school in Banyumas, Islamic boarding school in North Purwokerto, Islamic boarding school in Kendal, community in Salatiga, social event in Kulonprogo, Menara Wijaya Building in Sukoharjo, Soeradji Tirtonegoro Regional Public Hospital in Klaten, and Kaliwungu Public Health Center in Kendal.
 
"The ministry will continue to monitor health situations in all regions. The public should remain calm. The government is committed to preventing new covid-19 clusters," the official stated.
 
On Thursday, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,634 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 262,022.
 
From Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries was up by 3,895 to 191,853, while the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths was up by 128 to 10,105.
