Jakarta: Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) explores the bribery case of fish imports by The General Company of Indonesian Fishing (Perum Perindo). KPK investigators summon Director General of Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Trade, Indrasari Wisnu Wardana.
"The one question will be examined as a witness for the suspect RSU (Perum Perindo President Director Risyanto Suwanda)," said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah on Thursday, October 31, 2019.
KPK also summoned Perum Perindo Sales Division Supervisor Jeri Srinur Eka. The KPK has also examined the Director of Operations of Perum Perindo Farida Mokodompit in a similar case yesterday.
Previously, the KPK has examined many witnesses regarding the Director of PT Navy Arsa Sejahtera (PT NAS), Mujib Mustofa. KPK is still exploring the role of Perum Perindo in providing import rations.
The KPK has set Mujib Mustofa together with Risyanto Suanda as a suspect in the alleged fish import bribery case in 2019. Risyanto as the head of Perum Perindo, has the authority to submit import quotas, is suspected of helping PT NAS obtain a fish import project.
