Antonio • 24 September 2020 12:57
Bekasi: The Bekasi city government is mulling a collaboration with the Green Hotel Bekasi to provide isolation rooms for asymptomatic covid-19 patients.

According to Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi, the hotel can provide as many as 90 rooms to house asymptomatic covid-19 patients.

"Apart from using government facilities such as our footbal stadium, we can also cooperate with the hotel," the Bekasi mayor said here on Thursday.

"The hotel can accommodate more people if one room can be used by two people," he added.

Earlier this week, to implement his directives in dealing with covid-19 in nine priority provinces, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has formed the Covid-19 Task Force or TFC-19.

The goal is to reduce the number of cases, reduce mortality and increase recovery rates, improve community discipline, synchronize central and regional data, encourage an increase in the number of ICUs and isolation rooms, increase medical personnel and distribute PPEs and medicines.

The nine provinces are Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Papua and Bali.
