Jakarta: The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force today confirmed 4,369 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total numner of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 381,910.
Based on data issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Thursday noon to Friday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients across Indonesia was up by 4,094 to 305,100.
Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country rose by 118 to 13,077.
In addition, the number of covid-19 patients in Athletes Village Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta increased from 2,549 to 2,625 on Friday.
According to the Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) Spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, 1,432 covid-19 patients are receiving inpatient care at towers 6 and 7, while 1,192 covid-19 patients are undergoing self-isolation at towers 4 and 5.
Operated by the central government, towers 6 and 7 are used to accommodate covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms, while towers 4 and 5 are used to house asymptomatic covid-19 patients.
