Jakarta: Media Group News (MGN) plans to publish a book on covid-19 mitigation and vaccine roll-out. The book will discuss thoughts and views of speakers in the MGN Summit 2021 forum entitled Public Health: Vaccine What to Expect?
In addition to that, the book will also include results of surveys from News Research Center of MGN and Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). According to the Chief Editor of Media Group Usman Kansong, the book is expected to provide inputs to government officials.
"The book will be handed over to the government," said Usman during the MGN Summit 2021 at Metro TV Grand Studio in West Jakarta on Wednesdy.
To tackle the spred of covid-19, there are three main strategies, namely changing people's behaviour, improving testing, tracing and treatment and accelerating the vaccination program.
"All of them require a great deal of public participation," Usman stated.
During the forum , the key speakers were Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Deputy Speaker of the MPR Lestari Moerdijat, and Head of LBM Eijkman Amin Soebandrio.
Meanwhile, the members of the panel group were UGM health expert Adi Utarini, Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) executive chairman Tulus Abadi, Dean of the Public Health Faculty of Hasanuddin University Aminuddin Syam, and Chair of the Indonesian Hospitals Association (Persi) Kuntjoro Adi Purjanto.
Executive Director of CSIS Philips Vermonte and CEO of Halodoc Jonathan Sudharta also attended the event.
