Jayapura: The joint team of the National Police (Polri) and the National Armed Forces (TNI) is still pursuing the Head of West Papua National Committee (KNPB) of Kisor Sector, Silas Ki.
According to police, Silas Ki is suspected as the mastermind of September 2 deadly attack by armed Papuan separatist terrorists on the Kisor military post that killed 4 soldiers.
"The head of Kisor KNPB is still in pursuit by the joint team," West Papua Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Adam Erwindi said on Monday.
Erwindi denied the rumors of Silas Ki's arrest.
"South Sorong Police Head Adjunct Senior Commissioner Choiruddin Wachid stated
that the rumores arrest on KNPB Kisor Head was untrue," he stated.
He admitted a joint team held an operation on Sunday. He revealed that the team took 3 people during the operation. The 3 people, he continued, were questioned about the September 2 attack. (Hilda Julaika, Translator: Natasha Celia)
