Confirmed Covid-19 Cases in South Sumatra Surpass 6,000

Palembang: The total number of confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) cases in South Sumatra Province has reached 6,096, according to the South Sumatra provincial government.
 
"We registered 111 new cases yesterday. That was our highest daily new cases. We detected covid-19 clusters in Lubuklinggau and Musi Banyuasin," South Sumatra Health Agency's Survey and Immunization Section Head Yusri said here on Thursday.
 
"We no longer have covid-19 redzones. The trend continues to decrease. A lot of infected boarding school students in Lubuklinggau have recovered from the disease," he explained.

On Wednesday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,284 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 287,008.
 
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 4,510 to 214,947.
 
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 139 to 10,740.
