Jakarta: The Spokesperson of the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force Wiku Adisasmito revealed that almost all provinces in Indonesia registered new covid-19 cases on Wednesday.
According to the spokesman, five provinces with highest number of new covid-19 cases are Jakarta (1,159 new covid-19 cases), West Java (445 new covid-19 cases), Riau (352 new covid-19 cases), Papua (322 new covid-19 cases), and East Java (294 new covid-19 cases).
Meanwhile, five provinces with the lowest number of new covid-19 cases are Maluku (0 new covid-19 cases), North Kalimantan (2 new covid-19 cases), North Maluku (6 new covid-19 cases), Central Sulawesi (8 new covid-19 cases), West Kalimantan (8 new covid-19 cases).
"Maluku registered 0 new covid-19 cases today," Wiku said here on Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,284 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 287,008.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 4,510 to 214,947.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 139 to 10,740.
