Religious Affairs Minister Still Being Treated in Hospital

Jakarta: Minister of Religious Affairs Fachrul Razl are still being treated in hospital after he tested positive for covid-19 last week.
 
"He does not use any respiratory devices. He is in good condition. God willing," Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Zainud Tauhid Sa'adi said here on Wednesday.
 
"I am sorry that I cannot name the hospital. The family wants to protect his privacy. We must respect that," he explained.

The minister took covid-19 tests on September 17. After receiving the results of the tests, the retired army general underwent self-quarantine. To tacke the spread of covid-19, authorities also examined his family and his colleagues.
 
On Wednesday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,465 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total nummber of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 257,388.
 
From Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of covid-19 recoveries increased by 3,660 to 187,958, while the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 140 to 9,977.
