Assets of Police Chief Candidate Idham Azis Reach IDR 5.5 Billion

Jakarta: Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kabareskrim) Police General Idham Azis became the sole candidate for Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri). The DPR has approved Idham's nomination through a fit and proper test.
 
Medcom.id summarized Idham's assets based on the State Administrators' Asset Report (LHKPN) which is listed on the elhkpn.kpk.go.id page on Thursday, 31 October 2019.
 
The total wealth of Idham last reported on 31 December 2018 reached Rp5.513.808.813. The amount consists of permanent and mobile assets.
 
Idham's permanent assets include land and buildings in the cities of Depok and Kendari valued at Rp3.458.937.000. Idham owns a 2017 Toyota Innova Venturer and a 2016 Toyota Kijang Innova, his transportation equipment are valued at Rp730.000.000.
 
While his mobile assets, in cash totals to Rp834.871.813 and other assets valuing Rp490.000.000. But in the report, Idham did not reveal any debt.
 
Idham underwent a fit and proper test as a candidate for the National Police Chief replacing Tito Karnavian. He became the sole candidate appointed by President Joko Widodo replacing Tito who now serves as Minister of the Interior in the Indonesian Onward Cabinet.
 
Idham currently serves as Kabareskrim. Previously, he had also served as Metro Jaya Police Chief, as well as the Deputy Chief of Detachment 88 Anti-Terror Unit of the National Police. He participated in the arrest of the terrorist kingpin Dr. Azahari and exposed the Bali Bombing case.
