Tangerang: PT Angkasa Pura II has prepared a joint team to secure Soekarno-Hatta International Airport during Christmas and New Year holidays. As many as 2,500 personnel will be deployed by the state airport operator.
"For Soekarno-Hatta Airport, there will be around 2,500 personnel," PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said here on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
"They will comprise airport officers, stakeholders, the police, the military, customs officers, immigration officers and quarantine officers," he explained.
He is optimistic that this year's Christmas and Year holidays will run smooth. PT Angkasa Pura II has established a post command at Terminal 1B to monitor the operations.
"The post command will be able to access 2,000 CCTV cameras around the airport. The post command will be operational from today until January 6," he remarked.
The peak of Christmas holiday exodus is expected to occur on Saturday, December 21, 2019 and Sunday, December 22, 2019. Meanwhile,the peak of the New Year holiday exodus is expected to occur around Saturday, December 28, 2019 and Sunday, December 29, 2019.
