Jakarta: The Jakarta provincial government today announced that the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in the capital city of Indonesia increased by 1,105 to 47,796 in the past 24 hours.
"There are a total of 47,796 confirmed covid-19 cases," the Jakarta Health Office's Disease Prevention and Control Division head Dwi Oktavia said in a statement on Monday.
According to the Jakarta Health Office official, as many as 4,871 people took PCR tests today. Meanwhile, as many as 52,078 people took the tests in the past week.
"The rate is 65,192 tested people per million," Dwi said.
On Monday, the Indonesian Ministry of Health announced 2,880 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 196,989.
From Sunday noon to Monday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries rose by 2,077 to 140,652. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths increased by 205 to 8,130.
