Jakarta: As many as 584 restaurants across Indonesia have been closed down in the past ten days for violating covid-19 health protocols.
"584 restaurants have been closed down in the past ten days," National Police spokesperson Brigadier General Awi Setiyono said here on Thursday.
Besides closing down restaurants, the police have also issued 799,001 verbal warnings, 1,838 written warnings, 121,887 community sanctions and 15,773 administrative sanctions.
"The joint team have taken action against as many as 1,117,583 cases," the police general stated.
On Thursday afternoon, The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,634 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 262,022.
From Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries was up by 3,895 to 191,853, while the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths was up by 128 to 10,105.
