Indonesia Announces 3,602 New Covid-19 Cases, 4,410 Recoveries

Jakarta: The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force on Tuesday confirmed 3,602 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 368,842.
 
Based on data issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Monday noon to Tuesday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients in the country rose by 4,410 to 293,653.
 
Meanwhile, in the same period, Indonesia's official covid-19 death toll was up by 117 to 12,734.

On Monday, The World Health Organization (WHO) cautioned against any relaxation of response actions following the recent slight decline in covid-19 cases in South-East Asia Region, saying the pandemic continues unabated and our response only needs to be strengthened further to curtail virus transmission.
 
For the third week in a row, the WHO South-East Asia Region has registered 6-8 percent decline in the number of covid-19 cases, mainly due to a decrease in reported cases from India and Bangladesh.
 
The WHO South-East Asia Region has 11 Member States - Bangladesh, Bhutan, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste.
