Pandeglang: Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto was attacked with a sharp weapon by an unknown assailant at the Menes Square in Pandeglang, Banten, Thursday, October 10, 2019, around 11:30 Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
According to reports, the attacker suddenly broke through security shortly after Wiranto got out of his official car. Wiranto, who had just gotten out of the car to shake hands with the residents, immediately fell to the ground. Wiranto was then brought to Berkah Pandeglang General Hospital to receive treatment.
At that time, Wiranto wanted to return to Jakarta after attending the inauguration of a joint lecture hall at the University of Matlaul Anwar in Kampung Cikaliung, Sindanghayu Village, Saketi District, Banten.
"Yes, it's true," Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Police Public Relations Division Brigadier General Dedi Prasetyo.
"The attacker has been caught,"he added.
