Jakarta: Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Firli Bahuri revealed on Monday that as many as 69 KPK employees have tested positive for covid-19 since March.
"A total of 69 people have tested positive for covid-19 since March," Firli said during a meeting with the Commission III of the House of Representatives.
According to the KPK chairman, 31 of them have recovered from the disease, while the others are still undergoing self-isolation.
To tackle the spread of coronavirus, the anti-corruption watchdog has been providing swab polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tets for KPK employees, KPK detainees as well as journalists.
On Monday, the National Covid-19 Task Force announced 3,141 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 221,523.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries increased by 3,141 to 221,523 from Sunday noon to Monday noon. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 118 to 8,841 in the past 24 hours.
