Jakarta: Banten Governor Wahidin Halim has announced that large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) will be implemented in all regencies and cities in the province.
"PSBB will be extended and now it will be implemented in all regencies and cities in Banten Province," the governor said here on Monday.
Based on data from the Banten Health Office, the number of confirmed covid-19 cases is increasing in all regencies and cities in Banten Province.
"I have repeatedly warned about violations of health protocols. Uncontroled mobility in one region will affect the situation in its nearby regions. Banten is once again classified as a high-risk zone," the former Tangerang mayor explained.
Banten Province consists of Lebak Regency, Pandeglang Regency, Serang Regency, Tangerang Regency, Cilegon City, Serang City, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City.
On Sunday afternoon, the Indonesian Ministry of Health announced 3,444 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 194,109.
From Saturday noon to Sunday noon, the number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries increased by 2,174 to 138,575. Meanwhile, the number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 85 to 8,025.
