Jakarta's Covid-19 Emergency Hospital Accommodates 4,636 Patients

Jakarta: The Covid-19 Emergency Hospital at the Kemayoran Athletes Village in Central Jakarta is accommodating 4,636 covid-19 patients.
 
According to the Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, towers 6 and 7 currently accommodate 2,545 patients with mild to moderate symptoms, while towers 4 and 5 currently house 2,091 asymptomatic patients.
 
"Towers 6 and 7 currently accommodate 2,545 people, comprising 1,242 males and 1,303 females," said the official in a written statement on Monday.

"The total number of recovered patients is 15,441," he stated.
 
On Sunday, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 3,874 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 275,213.
 
Earlier this month, in a bid to lower the covid-19 hospitalization rate in Indonesia's capital, the Jakarta provincial government decided to reimpose Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in the province.
