Chaos broke out around JAI's Miftahul Huda Mosque in Balai Harapan Village, Sintang, on September 3.  Hundreds of people were seen destroying buildings, including the house of worship.
As many as 300 TNI-Polri personnel were then deployed by the Indonesian government to secure the location. There were no casualties in the incident, but the house of worship was damaged.
The Ahmadiyah congregation, totaling 72 people or 20 families, have been evacuated. Officials suspect that the group that contributed to the destruction of the house of worship amounted to 200 people.
