Magnitude 5.6 Earthquake Shakes Sukabumi

Jakarta: A magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit Sukabumi Regency in West Java Province on Tuesday at 16.28 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
 
"There is no tsunami risk," the BMKG stated.
 
With a depth of 14 kilometers, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 103 kilometers southeast of Sukabumi regency.

The earthquake was also felt in Bandung City, the capital of West Java Province.
 
"The lamp at my office was shaking when the earthquake happened. My family said the earthquake was also felt in Cimahi and Ujungberung," Ryan, 30, a Bandung resident, told Medcom.id.
 
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage after the earthquake.
