Death toll from Floods in NTT Rises to 138

Jakarta: The death toll from floods and landslides in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province has risen to 138, according to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).
 
"67 people died in East Flores, 32 died in Lembata, 25 died in Alor, 5 died in Kupang, 4 died in Malaka, 2 died in Sabu, 1 died in Ngada, 1 died in Ende and 1 died in Kupang City," said BNPB spokesperson Raditya Jati in a press release on Thursday.
 
Moreover, at least 61 people are still missing in Lembata, Alor and East Flores.

Meanwhile, a cargo airplane carryng 15 tonnes of humanitarian aid arrived at El Tari airport in Kupang City on Thursday morning.
 
"Don't hoard the aid at warehouses. Any kind of aid. The aid can only be stored at warehouses if everyone has received their share," Head of BNPB Doni Monardo stated.
 
On Wednesday, the Head of BNPB and his entourage visited the flood-affected areas in Alor Regency.
 
During the visit, the BNPB leader was accompanied by NTT Deputi Governor Josef Nae Soi and Alor Regent Amon Djobo.
