Jakarta: As many as 1,639 patients are currently being treated at the covid-19 emergency hospital at the Kemayoran Athletes Village in Central Jakarta.
"1,630 of them are confirmed covid-19 patients, while the other nine are suspected covid-19 patients," Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said here on Friday.
The covid-19 emergency hospital has treated as many as 13,320 patients since the opening of the facility in March. 11,225 of them have been discharged from the hospital.
On Thursday, Jakarta Special Capital Region once again recorded the highest number of daily covid-19 cases in Indonesia. From Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, Indonesia's capital registered 1,459 new covid-19 cases.
Jakarta is one the epicenters of covid-19 pandemic in the country. It has recorded 43,400 covid-19 cases and 1,246 covid-19 deaths since the beginning of the outbreak.
As of Thursday, the Indonesian government has recorded 184,628 confirmed covid-19 cases, 132,055 confirmed covid-19 recoveries and 7,750 confirmed covid-19 deaths.
